David Walsh is one of the founding directors of Impact Recycling, a plastics recycling firm with operating facilities in Newcastle, Durham & Glasgow. Impact Recycling has developed the BOSS technology to separate post-consumer mixed polyolefin plastics into their constituent components while achieving over 95% purity.

Prior to establishing Impact Recycling David was the majority shareholder of Appleton Capital Management, an alternative investment firm based in Dublin focused on the financial markets and latterly the circular econoomy. Having joined in 1995 he completed a management buyout in 1999 and was responsible for all of the investment decisions in the firm for over 20 years.

David holds a B.Sc. in Applied Mathematics from the University of Limerick, Ireland.
