Richard leads work on low carbon fuels, sustainable chemicals and plastics and bioenergy at E4tech. He works extensively on bio-based, CO2-based and recycled fuels, chemicals and plastics for production companies, industry consortia, governments, intergovernmental organisations and financial institutions. He has led major products on the scale up of chemical recycling value chains covering techno-economic, market demand, and environmental aspects. Utilising his background working on major projects in the chemicals industry and expertise in emerging technologies, he helps organisations understand the opportunities and challenges related to scaling up and deploying technologies within the existing chemical sector.
During his postgraduate degree at Cranfield University, Richard completed two research projects for the multinational brewer SABMiller, focusing on sustainable packaging innovation and the circular economy. He has a BEng in Chemical Engineering from The University of Manchester and has industrial experience in the pulp and paper sector.
